About Me

As a specialist in sports medicine, I treat musculoskeletal disorders, including osteoarthritis and injuries of the tendons, muscles, and joints in adults, teens, and children. I use ultrasound, X-ray, and MRI imaging to help diagnose musculoskeletal injuries and provide a variety of treatments, including ultrasound-guided joint and tendon injections.

I have always had a fascination with optimal human performance. In college, I studied physiology and kinesiology and conducted research focused on exercise performance while also working as a personal trainer. I have served as a team physician for multiple Division I sports teams, including men’s and women’s college basketball, lacrosse, wrestling, track and field, swimming, diving, and crew. I have also provided medical coverage to the New York City Marathon, the Penn Relays, and other mass participation sporting events.

I have a particular interest in ringside medicine. I provide coverage at boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, and mixed martial arts events as a member of the Association of Ringside Physicians. As an athlete myself, I have previously trained in boxing and Muay Thai kickboxing and continue to train and participate in Brazilian jujitsu, weight lifting, CrossFit, cycling, and hiking.

I incorporate concepts and principles from my sports and family medicine training and my exercise physiology and sports background into the care I provide to my patients. I am dedicated to working with my patients as a team to develop comprehensive, holistic treatment plans tailored to their lifestyle and healthcare goals.
