About Me
As an emergency medicine specialist and assistant professor of emergency medicine at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care in acute and trauma settings. My passion for emergency medicine stems from the immediate impact I can have on patients’ lives. I am committed to delivering personalized treatment by focusing on the individual needs of each patient. I believe in the importance of listening and connecting with patients to understand the whole person.
I specialize in acute care and trauma response, with a strong emphasis on bridging gaps in access to high-quality emergency care for New York’s diverse and underserved communities. With a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, a master’s in physiology from the University of Cincinnati, and an master of business administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, I bring a comprehensive approach to my practice. My years of experience in the field have equipped me with the expertise to effectively manage patients with a wide range of emergency medical conditions.
Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to proactive healthcare engagement, ensuring that my patients are well-informed and supported throughout their healthcare journeys. I prioritize up-to-date medical practices, integrating the latest advances in medical science to deliver exceptional care. Beyond treating acute conditions, I strive to help patients understand their healthcare needs by explaining complex medical issues in an accessible way, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health.
My journey into medicine was inspired by a desire to serve and make a difference in the lives of others. I chose to join NYU Langone for its commitment to interdisciplinary patient care and a patient-first philosophy—values that resonate deeply with my own approach to healthcare.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am a devoted educator, known for my dynamic, case-based teaching style that prepares medical students and residents for the fast-paced demands of emergency medicine. I emphasize critical thinking, empathy, and resilience, drawing from real-life scenarios to build my students’ confidence and competence in the field.
