Diana Badillo, MD

As a family physician at NYU Langone Primary Care Clinic–Mineola, I am dedicated to providing high-quality care to all of my patients, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. I believe in the power of knowledge and strive to ensure my patients are well-informed about their health. By taking the time to listen and address their concerns, I work collaboratively with them to develop personalized treatment plans that promote wellness, healing, and prevention.

I specialize in managing patients with a wide range of chronic conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease. My practice encompasses care for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients, as well as providing general women's healthcare. I am committed to creating a medical home for my patients, where they can receive comprehensive care, including annual physicals, acute sick visits, and preventive health services. Additionally, our clinic staff is fluent in Spanish, ensuring that our Spanish-speaking patients receive care in their preferred language.

With years of experience in family medicine, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to my practice. I began my medical career as a physician assistant, caring for the homeless, which instilled in me a deep commitment to serving underserved populations. My medical degree from Stanford University and residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center have equipped me with the skills and expertise to provide comprehensive care. I also take pride in educating the next generation of doctors at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine.

My journey into medicine was inspired by my love of science and a desire to help others improve their lives. As the proud daughter of Puerto Rican immigrants and the first in my family to attend college, I am passionate about giving back to my community. It is an honor and privilege to care for entire generations within families, and I find great joy in building long-term relationships with my patients.
