About Me
I was first drawn to the field of psychology as a college student. I found learning about the human mind and behavior to be stimulating, challenging, and fun, and becoming a psychology major was a natural choice. My experience volunteering at our campus crisis counseling hotline ultimately inspired me to become a clinical psychologist. I found this experience to be extremely rewarding and meaningful, unlike any I had experienced until then. Today, as a clinical psychologist, I am honored to continue to help others in need by providing psychotherapy to adults, allowing them a safe space to share their pivotal life and emotional experiences, and collaborating with them to navigate life’s challenges and enhance their mental wellbeing.
I trained in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry settings. Before joining NYU Langone, I worked in diverse environments, including an outpatient psychiatry clinic and a day treatment program for adults with chronic mental health conditions. These experiences have deepened my understanding of mental health disorders and equipped me with the skills to manage a wide range of conditions.
At NYU Langone I treat adults with a wide range of mental health conditions. These include mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder; anxiety disorders, which involve excessive worry or fear; personality disorders, characterized by repeated patterns of difficulties in areas such as relationships or work, and psychotic disorders, involving distorted perceptions or thoughts. I utilize supportive, cognitive-behavioral, and dialectical behavior therapy approaches, tailoring my strategies to meet the unique needs of each individual. I am active in session, offering suggestions, alternative viewpoints, and gentle challenges when beneficial.
Today, as part of the NYU Langone Psychiatry Faculty Group Practice, I work closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of clinicians to provide comprehensive care. With each patient that I meet, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space, ensuring they feel understood, valued, and supported throughout their journey.
