In the emergency department, my approach to care centers on building trust and rapport, regardless of the situation’s urgency or complexity. I strive to make the intimidating environment feel more approachable through clear communication. By explaining treatment options comprehensively, I ensure patients feel informed and actively involved in their care. Whether dealing with trauma, a heart attack, or severe anxiety, I prioritize attentive listening and proactive intervention, deeply valuing the ability to impact someone’s outcome within minutes.

Beyond clinical practice, I am committed to educating and training the next generation of healthcare providers, including emergency medicine residents, advanced practice providers, medical students, and nurses. I am passionate about leveraging medical simulation to teach critical thinking, teamwork, and technical skills in a controlled setting. This strategy not only enhances competency but also boosts patient safety and outcomes by allowing teams to practice complex scenarios before facing them in real-life situations.
