About Me
As a clinical psychologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to understanding the unique familial and cultural contexts that shape each patient’s experiences and difficulties. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, and I strive to collaborate with clients to help them understand the origins of their challenges and discover more effective coping strategies for their current lives. I believe in the importance of an attuned and attentive presence, coupled with kind directness, to support my clients’ growth and change.
I specialize in treating adults with anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, personality disorders, and the complex effects of trauma. With a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and additional training in group psychotherapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and emotion-focused therapy (EFT) for couples, I bring a comprehensive skill set to my practice. I also lead weekly psychotherapy groups and incorporate DBT techniques into individual treatment when needed to reduce symptom severity and improve emotion regulation.
My commitment to ongoing learning and teaching significantly enhances my clinical work, and I am currently a candidate at the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement, emphasizing the importance of understanding the sociocultural factors that influence personality development and symptom expression.
My professional journey includes completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where I later became a faculty member before joining NYU Langone in 2021. This affiliation allows me to provide coordinated, seamless care within a collaborative team. My educational background includes a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, and I have been recognized for my excellence in teaching with the Joan Saddow Award from Mount Sinai Beth Israel in 2020. My personal and professional experiences have deeply influenced my dedication to helping clients navigate their struggles and achieve meaningful change in their lives.
