Juan Gaztanaga, MD

Since I was young, I wanted to be a doctor so that I could make a significant difference in people’s lives. I have always found the heart fascinating, which led me to pursue a career in cardiology.

I see patients with various types of heart disease that can limit their daily activities. I enjoy getting to know my patients personally and treating their condition so they can return to the activities they love and feel better. Additionally, I was born in Spain and am fluent in Spanish, which allows me to treat patients who primarily speak Spanish.

I specialize in heart imaging, including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). I am also active in clinical research studies involving heart failure, coronary atherosclerosis, and diabetes. I work with world leaders in heart failure, imaging, and electrophysiology to bring meaningful cardiac advances to patient care.
