James Y. Park, MD

As a breast radiologist at NYU Langone, I provide compassionate and precise care to my patients. My philosophy of care is deeply rooted in the values of a purposeful and altruistic life, which my parents instilled in me from a young age. I find great fulfillment in guiding patients through their breast imaging journey, ensuring they receive the highest quality care and support.

I specialize in interpreting screening and diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, and magnetic resonance imaging, focusing on breast-related issues. With extensive training and experience, I perform image-guided needle biopsies and localizations of tumors or abnormal tissue prior to surgical intervention. My commitment to staying at the forefront of breast imaging techniques allows me to offer the most advanced and effective care to my patients. I have been practicing in this field since completing my fellowship, and I am proud to be a part of NYU Langone, where we prioritize coordinated and seamless care.

Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to proactive healthcare engagement, working closely with a specialty care team to manage patients' breast health. My work is centered on providing comprehensive imaging-based workups and ensuring that each patient receives personalized and responsive care. Being raised on Long Island, I have a deep connection to the community and take pride in contributing to the growth and development of our imaging department to meet the needs of the area.

My journey into medicine began in medical school, where I was drawn to the field of radiology and, more specifically, breast imaging. I am a proud member of the Society of Breast Imaging and the American Roentgen Ray Society, which reflects my commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning. Joining NYU Langone after my fellowship has allowed me to provide the best and most up-to-date care for our patients, supported by a team of dedicated professionals.
