My journey to medicine began with my childhood in northern Michigan, where by exploration of the outdoors I developed a love for science. My parents are both in the medical field, which introduced me to how I could use my passion for science to care for and heal others. My decision to specialize in neuro-ophthalmology stems from a deep fascination with the intricate interplay between the eyes and the brain. Vision is a fundamental aspect of human health and quality of life, and neuro-ophthalmology uniquely sits at the intersection of visual function, perception, and complex systemic health.

As a neuro-ophthalmologist and general ophthalmologist at the NYU Langone Eye Center, I evaluate and manage complex visual and neurological conditions such as cranial neuropathies, giant cell arteritis, optic neuritis, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, optic neuropathies, cataracts, and glaucoma. I provide comprehensive diagnostic care for optic nerve disorders, eye movement abnormalities and double vision, unexplained vision loss, visual field defects, and neuro-degenerative conditions impacting sight. By combining precise visual exam findings with modern diagnostic modalities, I work to establish clear answers and tailored treatment plans for every patient. I additionally provide cataract surgery for patients seen through my general clinic practice.

In my practice I am devoted to carefully synthesizing detailed patient histories, reviewing advanced imaging, and working with interdisciplinary teams to unlock complex diagnostic cases. Protecting and restoring vision is a privilege, and I approach each case with rigorous attention to detail, calm perseverance, and empathy.
