About Me
As a neuropsychologist at NYU Langone, I am deeply committed to understanding and enhancing brain health from both psychological and cognitive perspectives. My passion lies in examining the intersection of these facets of human behavior and applying them to patient care. Utilizing objective test data in combination with the subjective patient experience allows me to recommend empirically driven treatment methodologies tailored to each individual.
I specialize in the assessment and intervention of individuals experiencing cognitive, psychiatric, and neurological decline. My work involves conducting neuropsychological, academic, and psychological testing for conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, psychosis, mood and anxiety disorders, dementia, and epilepsy. Following these assessments, I provide personalized psychological interventions aimed at improving health behaviors, ensuring patients feel collaborative in their treatment. I am also trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based therapies, working with patients who present with ADHD, anxiety, depression, somatic disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, and post-concussive syndrome.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in numerous research projects focusing on cognitive profiles in unique clinical case presentations, the effects of aging and personality style on cognitive outcomes, and the validity of gold-standard assessment instruments used by neuropsychologists. I have also contributed to research on how neuropsychological assessments adapted during the COVID-19 shutdown and shared my experiences as a clinician during the pandemic in The Specialist. Additionally, I conduct neuropsychological evaluations in forensic settings, providing data for legal proceedings and specific forensic questions.
My journey into neuropsychology was inspired by a fascination with brain health and the desire to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives. I am fortunate to work with adults from diverse backgrounds and continue to learn from them. In addition to my clinical and research work, I am dedicated to teaching and lecturing graduate and postgraduate students, which excites me about the future of our field. Being part of NYU Langone allows me to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for my patients.
