About Me
As an emergency medicine physician and clinical assistant professor of emergency medicine at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional care in high-pressure environments and training the next generation of emergency physicians. My commitment to personalized care ensures that everyone receives individualized attention, even in the most urgent situations.
I graduated from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2002 and completed my residency in emergency medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan in 2005. With over two decades of experience, I have honed my skills in diverse, high-acuity settings, providing me with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities within emergency medicine.
Throughout my career, I have worked in various clinical environments across New York City, which has enriched my understanding of the healthcare landscape and the importance of coordinated care. Since joining the NYU Langone faculty in 2011, I have transitioned to academic medicine, where I focus on both patient care and the education of future emergency physicians. My role at NYU Langone allows me to collaborate with an expert team, ensuring comprehensive care for my patients.
My journey into medicine was inspired by a desire to make a tangible difference in people's lives. Recently, I have developed a passion for global health, leading medical missions to Rwanda. There, I provide essential care to rural communities and work to expand healthcare access to underserved populations. Collaborating with local Rwandan institutions, I offer both onsite and virtual training to their medical providers, furthering my commitment to addressing healthcare disparities.
I am proud to be part of NYU Langone, where my diverse experiences and dedication to high-quality, personalized care continue to shape my approach to emergency medicine and medical education.
