Tarini Goyal, MD

As a neurohospitalist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing compassionate care for individuals facing acute neurologic conditions. I find great reward in helping patients and their families navigate these challenging times, ensuring they receive comprehensive support and clear communication. My goal is to help patients function at their best despite the complexities of neurologic disease.

I specialize in treating a wide range of neurologic conditions, including seizures, meningitis, autoimmune disorders, and brain tumors. Additionally, I manage neurologic complications arising from other medical conditions, such as delirium. My expertise in these areas allows me to offer targeted and effective care, tailored to the unique needs of each patient. I also focus on neuropalliative care, addressing both the physical and psychosocial aspects of serious neurologic illnesses.

Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the delivery of neurologic care. I lead efforts to ensure that care is efficient and collaborative, working closely with neurology residents and medical students to teach the nuances of hospital-based care. My research and teaching endeavors have contributed to the development and implementation of neuropalliative care curricula, which have been published in esteemed journals such as Neurology and the Journal of Palliative Medicine.

My journey into medicine was inspired by the profound impact neurologic diseases have on individuals’ lives. I was drawn to neurology by the opportunity to help people navigate these challenges and improve their quality of life. My commitment to education and research, combined with my role at NYU Langone, allows me to provide coordinated and seamless care, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of treatment and support.
