Anna M. Tedesco, PhD

As a licensed clinical psychologist at NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Medical Student Mental Health Program and House Staff Mental Health Program, I am committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. I believe in treating the person, not just the symptoms, and see my role as an observer and guide. My patients can expect compassion, empathy, and practical guidance as we work together towards their mental health goals.

I specialize in psychodynamic psychotherapy and have an integrative approach tailored to each individual's needs. With extensive experience in various treatment settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and university counseling centers, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my practice. Additionally, I have provided clinical supervision to interns, externs, and postdoctoral fellows, further honing my expertise. My background as an industrial-organizational psychologist, where I worked as a leadership consultant to Fortune 100 executives for over 15 years, also enriches my perspective in treating patients.

Throughout my career, I have focused on fostering strong partnerships with my patients, ensuring a positive and responsive therapeutic experience. I am proud to be part of a diverse team at NYU Langone, where coordinated care is a priority.

My journey into clinical psychology was inspired by my desire to help people grow, heal, and transform. Being part of the NYU Langone community and contributing to the mental health and wellbeing of our medical students and house staff is a great honor and privilege.
