Emily Prince-Ralby, MD

I am an emergency medicine physician and clinical instructor at NYU Langone Health, committed to providing immediate, compassionate, and equitable care to all patients, regardless of their background or circumstances. My journey into emergency medicine was deeply influenced by my experiences as a first-generation immigrant, which instilled in me a profound understanding of the barriers immigrant communities face in accessing healthcare. This understanding fuels my dedication to advancing health equity and enhancing access to emergency care.

I earned my medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed my emergency medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Throughout my training, I gained extensive clinical experience across a diverse array of hospital systems, ranging from high-acuity tertiary care centers to safety-net community hospitals, serving some of New York City's most varied patient populations.

Prior to medical school, I pursued studies in biomedical engineering, developing an interest in biomechanics, injury mechanics, and the intersection of technology and medicine. This foundation seamlessly transitioned into my passion for emergency medicine, where I thrive in environments that demand rapid decision-making, procedural skill, and the delivery of high-quality care during critical moments.

My professional interests encompass orthopedic and sports-related injuries, musculoskeletal ultrasound, medical education, and event medicine. I am particularly dedicated to advancing ultrasound education and enhancing procedural competency among trainees, while continually striving to improve access to equitable emergency care for all.
