About Me
As a clinical psychologist at the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, I am deeply committed to supporting children and families in developing the social and emotional skills essential for success, in the classroom and beyond. My philosophy of care centers on authenticity, empathy, and approachability. My role allows me to make a meaningful impact by addressing mental health needs that are often overlooked, ensuring that each child receives the comprehensive care they deserve.
I specialize in working with children and families navigating challenges such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety, and early childhood developmental issues. I use therapeutic approaches including parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parent management training (PMT), and supportive parenting for anxious childhood emotions (SPACE) treatment—a short-term, parent-focused intervention designed to address anxiety in children and adolescents. My extensive training and years of practice enable me to provide expert care tailored to each family's unique needs.
Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and continuous support. I co-developed a social media platform to provide resources to early childhood caregivers and families, making research-backed guidance more accessible. This initiative reflects my dedication to empowering parents with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of raising children.
My journey into clinical psychology began during my time as a preschool teacher, when I recognized the limitations in addressing the mental health needs of my students. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in which I could address those needs more directly. As a parent of young children, I understand the unique challenges families face, which helps me establish a genuine connection with those I work with. My educational background and personal experiences drive my passion for helping children and families thrive.
