As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to patients in their most vulnerable moments. My commitment to medicine stems from a desire to be a more thoughtful and caring physician, shaped by my upbringing in the Bronx and the intellectual curiosity nurtured at the Bronx High School of Science. With a passion for both art and science, I strive to integrate creativity and critical thinking into my practice every day.

I chose emergency medicine because it allows me to treat a wide range of critical and complex conditions. Regardless of a patient’s racial or socioeconomic background, I am committed to delivering the same level of empathy and care. My work in emergency medicine and medical toxicology is driven by a deep curiosity about human health and a desire to make a meaningful impact.

Specializing in medical toxicology has enhanced my understanding of pharmacokinetics, biochemistry, and pathophysiology. Additionally, with over 25 years of clinical research in infectious diseases related to emergency medicine, I bring both depth and breadth of expertise to my field.

I thrive in interdisciplinary settings, collaborating with nurses, pharmacists, and specialists to provide holistic patient care. This teamwork not only improves outcomes but also fosters a dynamic learning environment, allowing me to continually expand my knowledge and refine my skills.
