As a clinical associate professor of pathology at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine and the medical director of transfusion medicine and therapeutic apheresis services at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to advancing patient care through innovative practices and comprehensive education. My role allows me to integrate cutting-edge research with clinical applications, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care.

I specialize in transfusion medicine, with a particular focus on patient blood management. This involves optimizing the use of blood products to improve patient outcomes, a critical aspect of care for individuals undergoing surgery or treatment for chronic conditions. My expertise also extends to therapeutic apheresis, a procedure used to treat various autoimmune and hematologic disorders.

With more than 25 years of clinical experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to excellence in pathology. My work is characterized by a proactive approach to healthcare, emphasizing the importance of appropriate blood product utilization. Additionally, I am deeply involved in resident training, ensuring that the next generation of pathologists is well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.

My journey into medicine began with a combined seven-year bachelor of science/doctor of osteopathic medicine program at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT)/NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following this, I completed my residency at Northwell Long Island Jewish Medical Center and fellowship at the New York Blood Center. Certified by the American Board of Pathology, I am driven by a passion for improving patient care through both clinical practice and education.
