From a young age, my fascination with science and puzzles drove me to explore the intricacies of complex problems and revel in the thrill of discovery. Medicine naturally became the culmination of these interests, melding analytical rigor with the dynamic learning and growth inherent in the field. My career path crystallized when I recognized that medicine transcends scientific boundaries—it's profoundly human, focusing on aiding individuals during their most vulnerable times and offering unwavering support when it matters most.

As a dedicated hospital-based internist, I concentrate solely on inpatient care, expertly managing acute and complex conditions throughout a patient's hospital stay. My role involves providing medical consults and adapting across various medical units, ranging from short-term observation and telemetry for cardiac monitoring, to academic teaching services and units dedicated to patients with chronic conditions requiring hospitalization. I collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, case managers, and advanced practice providers, alongside other specialties, to offer coordinated and comprehensive care.

My passion for internal medicine was ignited during my first year of medical school, starting with a histology class where I realized my desire to grasp a broad spectrum of medical knowledge. My approach centers on treating patients holistically, not merely addressing a diagnosis. I often ponder the question: “Why did our paths cross at this moment?” This contemplation guides me to look beyond laboratory results and clinical findings, focusing on each patient's unique story, preferences, and values. By tailoring treatment plans, I aim to involve patients and, when appropriate, their families, adopting a shared decision-making approach.
