About Me

I am an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, with a particular interest in hip preservation and hip arthroscopy. My goal is to help patients return to the activities that matter most to them, whether that means competitive athletics or simply moving through daily life with greater comfort and confidence. I care for patients with a wide range of athletic and functional injuries involving the hip, knee, and shoulder, including labral and cartilage injuries in the hip, ACL and meniscus tears in the knee, and instability, rotator cuff tears, and other shoulder injuries.

I have long been drawn to work that combines science, care, and teaching and knew I wanted a career centered on helping people. During medical school, I gravitated toward orthopedics, and sports medicine became a particularly meaningful path because it allowed me to combine surgical care with teamwork, athletics, and long-term relationships with patients.

While I enjoy treating shoulder and knee injuries, I developed a special interest in hip preservation surgery and hip arthroscopy because the hip is both essential and underrecognized. Arthroscopic hip surgery is a rapidly evolving field, and I have been drawn to its potential to identify and treat labral and cartilage injuries before they progress. Using minimally invasive techniques, I can evaluate the joint, treat damaged tissue, and correct structural problems contributing to pain and dysfunction. My experience in treating a broad range of hip, knee, and shoulder injuries provides me with a unique perspective on how these joints function both independently and together, which helps me identify the true source of a patient’s symptoms and develop a treatment plan that addresses the full picture.

An important part of my role is helping patients understand their condition, the source of their pain, and the treatment options available to them. I have found that when patients are informed and engaged in their own care, they are better equipped to heal and move forward with confidence. Building trust starts with listening carefully, understanding each person’s goals, and creating a relationship that supports them through every phase of treatment and recovery.

I believe that physician care is not only about performing surgery, but also about guiding patients, answering questions, and helping them feel supported throughout the process. We are all on the same team, and I value the opportunity to help patients get better and return to the activities they love.
