Stuart Ditchek, MD

As a pediatrician, I provide comprehensive, compassionate care for children, adolescents, and young adults, with particular expertise in individuals with complex and chronic medical conditions. I believe that clear, sensitive patient and family education is essential to successful care and enables families to become active partners in medical decision-making.

In addition to general pediatric and adolescent medicine, my clinical interests include genetic disorders, Jewish genetic diseases, respiratory and neuromuscular conditions, and Gaucher disease. My experience includes serving as Associate Director of NYU’s Division of Familial Dysautonomia and as founding Medical Director of the Jewish Genetic Disease Consortium, roles through which I developed longstanding relationships with families navigating complex medical care. I also lecture nationally on Gaucher disease and other genetic disorders, allowing me to combine clinical practice with ongoing medical education and collaboration with experts in rare and not so rare diseases and clinical genetics.
