Jessica F. Silverman, PsyD

I am a clinical psychologist at NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates, dedicated to building therapeutic relationships that foster meaningful change. Using a primarily relational and psychodynamic approach, I help patients explore aspects of themselves that may be eager for growth or resistant to change. I work collaboratively with patients to identify long-held beliefs or defenses that may no longer serve them, creating opportunities for transformative progress.

I specialize in treating trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders in outpatient and inpatient settings. During my training at the New Jersey VA, I developed a passion and expertise in treating adults with PTSD, integrating evidence-based treatments with insight-oriented and cognitive-behavioral approaches to support patients in their coping and development.

Licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey, I primarily offer remote sessions to meet patients wherever they are in their healing journey. I value interdisciplinary collaboration to provide comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s needs and I find fulfillment in guiding patients as they move from introspection to actionable steps toward becoming their best selves.
