As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. The fast-paced environment of the emergency room and the wide range of conditions I encounter daily keep me engaged and committed to finding solutions that can make a real difference. I believe in the power of listening carefully to patients, as a thorough patient interview can often lead to an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plan.

I specialize in diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of conditions, both acute and chronic, life-threatening, and benign. At NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, I primarily see adult patients, but I also treat children, teens, and adults at Long Island Community Hospital. Over the years, I have honed my skills in performing essential procedures and supervising residents in a teaching hospital environment. My role as core faculty for the residency program allows me to impart critical skills, such as electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation, to the next generation of medical professionals.

Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement, emphasizing the importance of patient research and independent reviews. My work is driven by a commitment to overall health and wellness, ensuring that each patient receives the highest standard of care. Being part of NYU Langone enables me to collaborate with a team of experts, providing coordinated and seamless care that benefits my patients immensely.

My journey into medicine was inspired by a family legacy of physicians, including my father, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, whose stories and sacrifices profoundly impacted me. Initially, I pursued a career in travel writing and magazine journalism after studying English and Slavic language and literature in college. However, the call to medicine led me to medical school several years after graduation. The camaraderie among our team of providers and the dynamic environment of the emergency room solidified my passion for emergency medicine.
