Stacey Wolfson, MD

As a breast imaging radiologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to my patients. My fascination with radiology began during my adolescent years as an athlete, where I frequently encountered computed tomography (CT) scans and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for various injuries. This early exposure ignited a passion for understanding medical imaging, which I have carried with me throughout my career.

I specialize in breast imaging, utilizing a range of modalities including mammography, ultrasound, and MRI. My expertise extends to performing image-guided procedures such as biopsies and localizations, which are crucial in diagnosing and treating breast cancer. With extensive training, I have become adept at interpreting complex imaging results and providing accurate diagnoses. My role allows me to interact directly with patients and their families, offering support and guidance throughout their treatment journey. I am committed to leveraging advanced imaging techniques to aid in the early detection and management of breast cancer, ensuring my patients receive the best possible care.

I enjoy being involved in interdisciplinary collaboration, working closely with colleagues in surgery, pathology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology. This team-based approach ensures that each patient receives individualized care tailored to their specific needs. I am passionate about proactive healthcare engagement and believe in the importance of patient education and involvement in their own care. My commitment to fostering strong partnerships with my patients helps create a positive and supportive environment for their treatment.

My journey into medicine was inspired by my early experiences with medical imaging and a desire to help others. I pursued my medical degree and completed my residency with a focus on radiology, ultimately specializing in breast imaging. The interdisciplinary nature of this field and the opportunity to make a significant impact on patients’ lives continue to drive my dedication to my work.
