From a young age, I was inspired to become a physician dedicated to helping children. My passion for pediatric critical care was solidified at the age of 19, when my sister required care in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Witnessing the profound impact of the medical team during such a critical time motivated me to pursue a career where I could save children’s lives while providing compassionate support to their families.

I deeply understand the challenges families face when a child returns home after hospitalization, especially when navigating life with new medical complexities. I am committed to equipping families with the resources they need for a smooth transition and to ensure children can remain at home, surrounded by their loved ones.

In addition to my work in the PICU, I am dedicated to improving access to high-quality pediatric critical care. As the medical director of NYU Langone Long Island Pediatric Transport, I am leading efforts to establish a pediatric transport program that connects critically ill children to specialized PICU care. This program ensures that any physician can quickly access expert consultation and arrange safe, efficient transfers to appropriate facilities.

In the PICU, I treat a broad spectrum of conditions, focusing on managing organ dysfunction and failure. Among the most common conditions I address are respiratory failure and sepsis. I believe PICU care is a collaborative effort involving an exceptional team of nurses, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists who work together to deliver the best possible outcomes for critically ill children.

My research interests include pediatric transport, with a focus on critical care triage during transport, as well as pediatric sepsis, specifically examining its effects on the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System. My dedication to advancing the field ensures that my patients benefit from cutting-edge care.

I am passionate about supporting both my patients and their families, recognizing that holistic care extends beyond the walls of the hospital. Through my leadership and expertise, I strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families I serve.
