Gregory W. Simon, MD

For over 15 years, I have practiced emergency medicine at some of New York City's leading medical centers, including my current role as an attending physician at NYU Langone’s Brooklyn and Manhattan hospitals. I have always been drawn to the unique challenges and opportunities of providing immediate, comprehensive care to a diverse range of patients in our fast-paced, often high-acuity specialty.

Today, my work extends into clinical informatics, where I leverage health data, technology, and clinical expertise to improve healthcare delivery. As part of this endeavor, I apply data analytics to support quality, safety, and operational initiatives. I also lead collaborations to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical decision support systems, including the responsible integration of artificial intelligence to enable providers to deliver optimal care.

My professional philosophy centers on the belief that effective healthcare innovation requires a blend of user-centered design, robust data engineering, and deep clinical expertise. My goal is to use these principles to empower providers, enhance patient care, and ensure our institution remains a leader in the field.
