Jane P. Ko, MD

As a thoracic radiologist at NYU Langone Health, I am dedicated to advancing the field of chest imaging to enhance patient care. Using my curiosity and drive to learn, I strive to aid in the early diagnosis and treatment of complex conditions. By working closely with highly skilled colleagues, I help optimize imaging protocols, ensuring patients benefit from cutting-edge techniques that improve outcomes and promote overall wellbeing.

I specialize in lung and vascular imaging and focus on conditions such as lung cancer, pulmonary and aortic vascular diseases, and diffuse interstitial lung disease. My expertise extends to advanced imaging modalities like multidetector chest computed tomography (CT) and multi-energy CT imaging, which improves diagnostic accuracy. I also engage in research on innovative chest imaging techniques that advance the field and provide clinicians with vital tools for patient management.

Education has been an integral part of my career, and I am proud to serve as a mentor to fellows, residents, and medical students. I also collaborate with radiologists and physicians across the country and around the world through lectures, workshops, and leadership in leading radiological societies. By sharing knowledge on the latest advances in chest radiology, I aim to equip other healthcare professionals with tools to care for their patients.

My journey into radiology stems from an innate curiosity and love for discovery that led me to pursue imaging as a specialty.
