Growing up, I was inspired by my father’s dedication to medicine, which instilled in me a deep appreciation for compassionate care and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Internists are trained to manage a wide variety of complex medical conditions that affect multiple organ systems, treating both acute illnesses and chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, and respiratory disorders. I chose to pursue a career in internal medicine because I find it deeply intriguing. What fascinates me most is the critical thinking it demands, along with the emphasis on delivering high-quality care and adopting a holistic approach to addressing patients’ needs.

My philosophy in treating patients is based on the Golden Rule—treating others the way I would want to be treated. This principle guides my approach to providing compassionate, respectful, and personalized care.

As a hospitalist, an internist who specializes in the care of hospitalized patients, I have the privilege of admitting and caring for patients with a diverse array of medical conditions, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for growth and advancement. The process of piecing together symptoms, test results, and medical history to reach a diagnosis is both intellectually stimulating and deeply satisfying.

It is incredibly rewarding to identify the root cause of a patient’s illness and develop a treatment plan that can improve their health and quality of life. This aspect of my work not only keeps me engaged but also reinforces the profound impact medicine can have on individuals and their families.

I have the privilege of serving a diverse patient population, and this has significantly enriched my professional experience. Working with patients from various cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds has deepened my ability to provide culturally sensitive and patient-centered care.
