About Me
As a clinical psychologist at the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone, and associate clinical director of the Anxiety and Mood Disorders Service, I am deeply committed to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of anxiety and related conditions.
Witnessing the transformations in my clients as they learn to manage their anxiety, build resilience, and rediscover joy and purpose drives my dedication to this field. My approach is centered on creating a strong, collaborative relationship with my patients, focusing on their unique goals. I bring warmth, approachability, and a nonjudgmental stance to each session, ensuring a space where people feel genuinely heard and understood.
I specialize in therapies for children, adolescents, college students, and adults, addressing conditions such as anxiety, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, trauma and stress-related disorders, and parenting challenges. With extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), I incorporate these techniques into my practice to provide comprehensive care. Additionally, I am trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and offer parenting support to help families foster resilience and confidence in their children and adolescents.
My work extends beyond clinical practice to include the education and supervision of undergraduate and graduate students in child and adolescent mental health. I am passionate about supporting the next generation of mental health professionals, ensuring they adopt a compassionate and effective approach to care. My affiliation with NYU Langone allows me to collaborate with a team of other experts, ensuring coordinated care for my patients. I am committed to fostering strong partnerships with my patients, helping them build the tools they need to lead more satisfying and fulfilling lives.
