Jonah Feldman, MD

I chose a career in medicine because I enjoy working with people and using science to improve their lives, health, and happiness. I practice as a general internist and physician informaticist because I care about how healthcare is delivered, how health professionals work together, and how the healthcare system can improve. I am particularly interested in how physicians can incorporate costs of care into their medical decision making and how information technology can help improve patient care and satisfaction.

In the primary care setting, I treat patients with chronic conditions, such as hypertension and diabetes. Practicing in our urgent care facility, I also see patients for conditions that include coughs, colds, rashes, fevers, and musculoskeletal injuries.

For me, the decision-making process is very important. I want my patients to be in the driver’s seat when making medical decisions. This requires detailed discussion of the risk, benefits, and costs of each proposed treatment.

My partners and I are up-to-date on all of the latest medical literature and are deeply involved in training the next generation of physicians. Patients benefit from being treated by professionals who are at the top of their field.
