About Me
As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate, and impactful care to every patient who comes through our doors. The diverse and unpredictable environment of the emergency department allows me to deliver critical care to the sickest patients, treat minor wounds, and start antibiotics for infections—all within the span of an hour. I am passionate about the breadth of skills and knowledge required in emergency medicine and the opportunity to make a significant difference in patients’ lives during some of their most challenging moments.
In emergency medicine, I focus on delivering life-saving interventions and piecing together diagnostic puzzles by reviewing patients’ medical histories and symptoms. With years of experience in the field, I am well-versed in collaborating closely with a team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. My commitment to patient engagement and responsiveness is central to my practice, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible care.
Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in medical education, particularly in helping adult learners translate textbook knowledge into clinical practice. Teaching and working closely with trainees continuously challenges me to think critically and adapt my methods to their unique perspectives and needs. It is incredibly rewarding to witness freshly graduated medical students evolve into confident physicians and to play a role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.
My journey into medicine was inspired by my grandmother, an obstetrician–gynecologist, who often joked that medicine as a higher calling sometimes skips a generation. Despite my mother and uncle being engineers who paled at the sight of blood, I proudly followed in my grandmother’s footsteps. On the first day of my emergency medicine rotation in medical school, I knew I had found my specialty. The fast-paced environment, the breadth of skill set required, and the ability to care for all who come through the doors greatly appealed to me.
