About Me
As a pediatric neuropsychologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families. My journey into pediatric neuropsychology was inspired by a desire to help others and a keen interest in brain development and how children learn and understand the world. I pursued this specialty to help my patients on their life journeys, providing a small but significant piece of the support they need.
I specialize in evaluating and understanding neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, language disorders, and motor difficulties. Additionally, I address co-occurring mood disorders like anxiety and depression, and work with children with complex medical histories. With over a decade of experience, I help children, teens, and their parents comprehend the incredible capabilities of the brain and identify barriers that may hinder their potential.
Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement, emphasizing the importance of understanding each child’s unique brain functioning. My approach is akin to looking under the hood of a car to fully grasp how it operates and why certain aspects may not be functioning optimally. I take a developmental approach, incorporating extensive teaching and breaking down complex psychological concepts to make them manageable and meaningful for each family. I also offer opportunities for children to learn from the results of their evaluations, fostering ownership over their brain functioning and its implications for their school and life, as well as participate in advocacy efforts. At NYU Langone, I am part of a team dedicated to providing comprehensive and coordinated care, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible support and understanding.
