My journey into medicine was shaped by unexpected opportunities during my high school years. Although initially aspiring to become an engineer, I was introduced to the world of healthcare by attending a health sciences-focused regional high school. This pivotal decision directed me towards a fulfilling career in medicine. My passion for healthcare further developed through volunteering with my hometown's ambulance service and working as a patient care technician in a local emergency department. These experiences laid the foundation for my enduring dedication to emergency medicine and my commitment to serving the community with compassion and excellence.
