About Me
Born to parents who were doctors, I was drawn to the healing profession at a young age, captivated by the important, trusting relationships doctors cultivate with their patients. I always envisioned a career that gracefully blends public service with medicine, embodying the essence of genuine care. During my medical school years, participating in the home medical service, where we delivered care to patients unable to visit the hospital, solidified my belief that medicine is a fundamental form of public service. My passion for high-risk obstetric care bloomed during an inspiring rotation at Boston City Hospital, leading me to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) and maternal fetal medicine, where I believe I can make the most significant impact.
Throughout my career, I’ve cherished numerous experiences that emphasize the vital importance of maternal safety, both in outpatient and hospital settings. This journey has deepened my commitment to quality and patient safety in maternal care. I am a staunch advocate for the standardization of care, protocol-driven plans, and rigorous follow-up, all of which are instrumental in enhancing obstetric outcomes. While significant progress has been made, I am driven by the belief that there is always room for growth and innovation.
My practice primarily centers on intrapartum care, focusing on labor and delivery for women experiencing high-risk medical conditions. I manage cases where pregnant patients develop new medical or surgical issues during pregnancy, necessitating hospital care. A particular area of expertise I offer is in managing Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS) – a complex condition where the placenta grows into the uterine wall during pregnancy. In partnership with a dedicated team, I have successfully managed numerous high-risk deliveries, ensuring maternal safety remains paramount.
Patients seeking care for high-risk conditions will find a dedicated partnership in our team at NYU Langone Ambulatory Care in Garden City. We are committed to attentively listening, educating, and engaging in meaningful discussions to ensure that the medical decisions align seamlessly with the patient’s needs and our professional insights. My treatment philosophy centers around shared decision-making, where patients’ preferences and the medical perspective converge to achieve both optimal medical and emotional outcomes.
For me, the greatest fulfillment comes from witnessing families grow in a compassionate, safe, and respectful environment. Bringing patients through the challenges of labor or complex medical conditions with the highest standard of care is my life’s work and passion. Being part of someone’s life during such a pivotal moment, and ensuring safe births, is what continually inspires me.
