Jiyon Lee, MD

As clinical professor of radiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and a dedicated breast radiologist at NYU Langone, I am committed to providing compassionate, patient–centered care with a focus on wellness and proactive health management. My passion lies in the early detection, diagnosis, and management of breast cancer and other breast conditions. I find immense fulfillment in utilizing advanced imaging techniques to ensure the best possible outcomes for my patients.

With extensive training and experience in breast radiology, I specialize in state-of-the-art modalities such as mammography, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and percutaneous breast procedures. My educational journey began at Yale College and Yale University School of Medicine, followed by a surgical internship, diagnostic radiology residency, and women’s imaging fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian. With over two decades of experience, I am committed to advancing the field of breast radiology through both clinical practice and research.

Throughout my career, I have focused on enhancing patient and provider experiences through innovative research and education. I lecture widely, both domestically and internationally, on breast imaging and the detection of breast cancer and other breast conditions. My diverse clinical research interests include optimizing radiology education for trainees, practicing clinicians, and the lay public. I strive to make breast radiology relevant and understandable, demystifying complex topics and empowering patients through balanced learning and shared decision-making.

My journey into medicine was inspired by a deep commitment to academic excellence and compassionate patient care. I am proud to collaborate with esteemed organizations to extend my impact beyond the clinical setting, contributing to community and corporate education initiatives.
