About Me
As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate care in what often feels like organized chaos. Balancing patient care, education, research, and leadership, my primary goal is to prioritize each patient’s wellbeing. I am dedicated to improving clinical operations through innovative strategies that enhance quality of care, patient safety, resident education, and staff satisfaction within the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
I specialize in emergency medicine and have extensive experience managing trauma and critical care situations. With years of experience, my credentials include achieving ACS level 1 trauma center verification and optimizing patient flow across multiple sites. My role as service chief of all emergency services at Bellevue and chair of the emergency medicine council for H+H Central Office allows me to advocate for system-wide improvements that advance patient care on a regional level.
Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement and operational excellence. Some of my notable achievements include establishing a multilingual discharge center, developing an emergency department electronic medical record system implemented in 10 hospital emergency departments, operationalizing Bellevue’s first freestanding emergency department after Hurricane Sandy, and leading departmental operations through Ebola outbreaks and the recent COVID-19 pandemic response. My dedication extends to the academic missions of teaching, scholarship, and research, fostering a dynamic learning environment that supports diverse groups of learners.
My journey into medicine was inspired by a desire to integrate technology and improve care. I pursued my medical degree with a focus on emergency medicine, driven by the complex social factors that often lead patients to seek care in the emergency department. My research interests have centered on the integration of new technology to enhance each of our mission pillars. As part of NYU Langone, I collaborate with a dedicated team, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for my patients.
