Jacqueline Gomberg, MD

As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I provide immediate, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. My passion for helping others and making a difference in people’s lives drives my commitment to this field. I find great satisfaction in offering immediate care to any patient at any time, ensuring they receive the best possible treatment when they need it most.

I specialize in emergency medicine with a particular focus on integrating ultrasound into clinical practice. My extensive training includes an emergency medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where I served as chief resident, followed by an emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship at Bellevue. With over a decade of experience, I have honed my skills in using point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) to enhance diagnostic accuracy and improve patient outcomes.

Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians. As the director of ultrasound content at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, I focus on incorporating ultrasound training into the medical school curriculum. Additionally, as a member of the Division of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound, I teach ultrasound to emergency medicine residents during their clinical shifts and ultrasound rotations. My goal is to ensure that future physicians are well-equipped to use POCUS effectively at the bedside.

After graduating from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, I was inspired by the dynamic and collaborative environment of emergency medicine. The ability to provide immediate, life-saving care and the exciting advancements in ultrasound technology have fueled my passion for this field. At NYU Langone, I am proud to be part of a team that values coordinated, seamless care and is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative practices.
