About Me
As a psychiatrist at NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates, I am dedicated to understanding the complexities of the human experience. My approach to patient care is deeply informed by my curiosity and commitment to exploring the nuances of mental health. I strive to create a therapeutic environment in which patients feel heard and understood, ensuring their unique experiences are central to their treatment.
I specialize in treating patients with a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders. My expertise encompasses both psychopharmacology and psychodynamic therapy, allowing me to tailor treatment plans that best suit the individual needs of my patients. By integrating various therapeutic modalities, I aim to provide comprehensive care that addresses both the symptoms and underlying causes of mental health issues.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in diverse clinical settings, including college campuses, the Veterans Affairs healthcare system, and both public and private hospitals. This varied background has equipped me with a wide range of skills and perspectives, enhancing my ability to connect with and effectively treat my patients.
My journey into psychiatry began at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where I developed a keen interest in the human psyche. My research, funded by the American Psychiatric Association Foundation during my residency at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, focused on the social factors influencing clinical care and health maintenance, further enriching my practice. This combination of education and hands-on experience has shaped my holistic approach to mental healthcare, emphasizing the importance of understanding each patient’s unique story.
