About Me
As a clinical psychologist at NYU Langone and clinical assistant professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, I am dedicated to providing compassionate care to adults facing medical diagnoses such as cancer, cardiac conditions, vestibular disorders, and neurological conditions. I believe mental and physical wellbeing are deeply interconnected, and I strive to empower my patients to navigate the emotional and psychological challenges associated with chronic illness and medical treatments.
I specialize in using therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness strategies. With years of experience, I tailor my care to meet the unique needs of patients, helping them cope with the stresses of illness while enhancing their quality of life. My extensive training and credentials underscore my commitment to providing the highest standard of psychological support.
At NYU Langone's Rusk Rehabilitation, I work closely with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to offer comprehensive psychological support. This integrative approach ensures that patients receive holistic care, addressing both their mental and physical wellbeing. Whether it's managing the anxiety of a new diagnosis or adjusting to the challenges of chronic illness, I am dedicated to fostering resilience and strength in my patients.
My journey into clinical psychology was inspired by my specialized fellowship training in geriatric and health psychology. This experience fueled my passion for improving the mental health and overall wellbeing of patients adjusting to significant life changes. Committed to lifelong learning, I regularly participate in advanced training to stay current with the latest research and treatment approaches. Additionally, I am involved in advocacy work for people with disabilities and provide supervision to psychology graduate students within NYU Langone's training programs and other graduate-level institutions.
