Injury Prevention

Research Summary

My research interests include childhood injury prevention and point of care ultrasound use in pediatrics. As a fellow, I developed a bicycle helmet distribution program that was embedded within the pediatric emergency room that provided free helmets to pediatric patients. Through this program, we were able to increase the frequency with which children were wearing helmets by 37%.  I have also published several papers on point of care ultrasound applications in children and infants.
