About Me
As a child psychologist at the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to helping children and teens celebrate their unique strengths while developing the skills necessary to thrive. My approach is rooted in empathy and individualized care, ensuring that each child feels heard, safe, and appreciated. I believe in fostering a positive and trusting relationship with my patients, which is essential for making meaningful changes in their lives.
I specialize in working with families to navigate attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), address behavioral difficulties, and strengthen parent–child relationships. My expertise includes helping students who struggle with organization, time management, and planning. I am a co-author of the Middle School Organizational Skills Training Treatment Program manual and The Organized Child: An Effective Program to Maximize Your Kids’ Potential – in School and in Life, a guide for parents to foster executive functioning in their children.
With more than 15 years of experience at NYU Langone, I bring a wealth of knowledge and specialized training in parenting programs to my practice. I often work with families on strategies to reduce conflict and promote positive behavior both at home and at school. My background in research informs my clinical work, ensuring that my therapeutic approach is firmly rooted in science.
My journey into child psychology was driven by a love of working with children and teens, particularly those whose strengths lie in their differences. I am passionate about helping kids who are creative storytellers or future debaters, even if they struggle with focus or following rules. My goal is to help these children develop the skills they need to share their gifts with the world.
