Leonard Belotti, DO

As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I provide compassionate, patient–provider care. Growing up in New Jersey, I was always drawn to the energy and diversity of New York City. From an early age, I knew I wanted to build my medical career here, where I could serve a wide range of patients and make an impact in a fast-paced, world-class healthcare environment. Working at NYU Langone has allowed me to fulfill that goal while staying close to my roots.

I specialize in emergency medicine, a field that requires a wide breadth of medical knowledge, quick decision-making, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. My passion lies in helping people during some of their most critical moments. The intensity of focus, the sanctity of the sterile field, and the team dynamics in the emergency room drew me to this field.

I believe empathy and clear communication are essential parts of the healing process, and I strive to build trust and rapport with each of my patients. My credentials include completing the Kenneth and JoAnn G. Wellner Fellowship in Emergency Department Safety and Quality in 2024, which has deepened my understanding of optimizing healthcare delivery to ensure patients receive the safest and most effective treatments possible.

Throughout my career, I have focused on improving systems that streamline patient flow and reduce the time to diagnosis and treatment. I am fortunate to work with a dedicated team that shares my commitment to patient care, and it is rewarding to know that our approach makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
