About Me
As a licensed clinical psychologist at NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Medical Student Mental Health Program and House Staff Mental Health Program, I provide compassionate patient care. My approach is rooted in understanding the unique narratives of each individual, and I am committed to fostering a therapeutic environment where patients feel heard and respected.
I specialize in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and am also trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), transference-focused psychotherapy (TFP), and emotion-focused therapy (EFT) for couples. With extensive training and clinical experience in outpatient, inpatient, college counseling, and Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) settings, I have developed a versatile skill set that allows me to tailor treatment plans to meet the specific needs of my patients.
My work has spanned various settings, allowing me to gain a comprehensive understanding of different patient needs and treatment approaches. My PhD research on multiracial and bicultural experiences has profoundly influenced my clinical approach, emphasizing the complexity of identity and the importance of understanding each patient’s unique story. I believe that no one can define or tell your story better than you can, and I strive to treat all patients with an open-minded and respectful attitude. My educational and research background have shaped my commitment to helping patients navigate their mental health journeys with confidence and clarity.
