Research Summary

My research focuses on advancing the science of pain management and spinal health through innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. I have explored a wide range of topics, including spinal alignment, neuromodulation, and interventional pain management, with a goal of improving clinical outcomes and patient quality of life.

One key area of my work examines the biomechanics of spinal alignment and its implications for surgical and nonsurgical interventions. My studies on global sagittal alignment, cervical deformities, and the Total Disability Index have contributed to better understanding and quantifying disability in patients with spinal disorders. These findings have been instrumental in shaping treatment strategies that prioritize functional recovery.

I have also conducted significant research into neuromodulation techniques, such as spinal cord stimulation and dorsal root ganglion therapy. This work has focused on optimizing these interventions for challenging conditions like chronic pain and cancer-related pain, including the development of protocols for intrathecal drug delivery systems that have been shown to reduce opioid use in oncologic populations.

Through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences, my research continues to advance the field of pain management. My goal is to bridge the gap between innovative research and practical, patient-centered care.
