As an emergency medicine physician at NYU Langone, I am deeply committed to providing immediate care to patients in critical conditions. My approach to care is centered on swiftly addressing life-threatening situations guided by the most current and effective medical practices. I appreciate the opportunity to diagnose urgent issues, initiate treatments, and guide patients towards the right care.

I treat patients across all age groups presenting with a range of undifferentiated symptoms, such as abdominal pain, chest discomfort, and headaches. I have a particular skill set in evaluating and managing emergent conditions like heart attacks and strokes. As a physician trained in emergency ultrasound, I frequently employ this tool to assess for emergent and urgent pathologies like pericardial effusion (fluid around the heart), cholecystitis (gallbladder inflammation), blood clots, and aortic aneurysms. This skill allows me to delve deeper than a standard physical exam and find answers rapidly. I also use ultrasound guidance for procedures, enhancing my comprehensive approach to emergency care.

Throughout my career, I have been steadfast in my commitment to proactive healthcare engagement, ensuring that patients receive immediate and effective care. This dedication was notably demonstrated during an in-flight emergency on a trans-Atlantic flight, where I successfully identified and began treatment for the captain who was experiencing a heart attack despite minimal resources. This incident, among others, highlights my unwavering dedication to delivering high-quality emergency care, no matter the circumstances.

My journey into medicine was driven by my desire to stabilize and treat critically ill patients. I was captivated by the critical aspects of all specialties, which led me to pursue a career in emergency medicine. As part of the Emergency Medicine Residency at NYU Langone, I have the honor of training future physicians in this great specialty, further contributing to the advancement of the field.
