About Me
As a consultation–liaison psychiatrist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to bridging the gap between physical and mental health. My passion lies in addressing the mental health challenges faced by patients with complex medical conditions, providing a holistic approach to care. I am driven by a genuine desire to improve patients’ overall wellbeing by understanding the full spectrum of their medical and psychological needs.
I specialize in treating patients with medically complex conditions, including neurological disorders, chronic illnesses, and psychosomatic concerns. My particular interest in women’s health allows me to focus on the unique mental health challenges women face throughout their lives. With over a decade of experience, I lead efforts in interdisciplinary care at NYU Langone, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive treatment addressing both their physical and mental health needs. My credentials include being honored as a fellow of the Academy of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, reflecting my commitment to academic excellence and quality patient care.
Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement, emphasizing the importance of patient involvement in their treatment plans. My work includes research on interdisciplinary care for medically complex patients, physician wellbeing, and the psychosomatic management of mental health conditions. This research directly informs my clinical practice, allowing me to develop innovative approaches to managing mental health in patients with medical conditions.
My journey into medicine was inspired by a desire to understand the intersection of physical and mental health. This led me to specialize in consultation–liaison psychiatry, where I can address both medical and psychological issues. My educational background includes extensive training in psychiatry, and I have had the privilege of serving as the chair of the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Interdisciplinary Education Subcommittee for the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. This role reflects my ongoing commitment to advancing the field and fostering interdisciplinary education.
