I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by my mother, who is also a physician. Growing up, I saw the profound impact she had on her patients’ lives, and it deeply influenced my decision to follow a similar path. I chose to specialize in cardiac electrophysiology because of the fascinating complexity of the cardiac conduction system and the wide range of treatment options available to help patients with heart rhythm disorders.

I believe medicine is not just about helping patients live longer, but about helping them live better. Cardiac arrhythmias affect each person differently, which is why it’s so important to tailor treatments to the individual’s unique goals and needs. Advances in electrophysiology have opened the door to highly personalized care, and my approach is centered on listening to patients, understanding their values, and empowering them to take an active role in their health.

In my practice, I treat a variety of abnormal heart rhythms, including tachyarrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), and ventricular tachycardia (VT), as well as bradyarrhythmias like sinus node dysfunction and heart block. I perform a range of procedures, including pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, catheter ablation, and left atrial appendage occlusion. My research focuses on improving outcomes for catheter ablation by leveraging advanced imaging data and 3-dimensional mapping systems. These innovations help refine treatment strategies for complex arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.

At NYU Langone, I work alongside a team of highly experienced professionals, supported by cutting-edge technologies in cardiac electrophysiology. This environment enables us to deliver the highest level of care for our patients. My focus is always on providing individualized treatment rooted in evidence-based medicine, ensuring each patient feels heard, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.

Throughout my career, I’ve also been deeply committed to medical education. As a resident, I was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and received the Medical Student Teaching Award for my efforts. During my cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships, I had the honor of serving as chief fellow. These experiences reflect my dedication to not only advancing patient care but also preparing the next generation of physicians.
