Omar Moussa, MD

As an adult hospital medicine specialist at NYU Langone, my philosophy of care is rooted in service and education. I am a native New Yorker, and my passion for medicine was ignited during my time as a health educator. Today, I am proud to serve my community by providing comprehensive care for all medical conditions that require hospitalization. I am deeply committed to upholding the high standards of NYU Langone for all my patients.

My area of expertise lies in internal medicine, with a special focus on managing chronic conditions that necessitate hospital care. I am dedicated to proactive healthcare engagement, ensuring my patients are well informed and actively involved in their treatment plans. I believe in the power of patient education and strive to make complex medical information accessible and understandable.

Over the years, I have taken on various roles in the field of medicine. As a leader, educator, and researcher, I have made significant contributions to hospital administration and medical education. I currently serve as the medical director of Tisch Hospital’s Unit 14 West, where I oversee clinical operations and ensure our standard of quality patient care is consistently met. I am also the assistant director of the integrated clinical skills curriculum, where I design and deliver comprehensive educational programs for undergraduate medical students.

I am currently working toward a master’s degree in health professions education and am engaged in research focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in medical education. I am proud to be a part of NYU Langone, where I work alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts to provide coordinated and seamless care.
