As a psychologist at NYU Langone, I am motivated by the opportunity to assist others in overcoming obstacles and achieving their aspirations. My dedication to supporting others stems from my time as a swim instructor, where I discovered the satisfaction of aiding individuals in overcoming their fears. Now, my role allows me to offer a supportive environment for patients to navigate their emotions, cultivating a sense of trust and comfort that is essential for effective therapy.

My primary areas of expertise include anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and depression. I have a particular interest in therapies focused on trauma. My comprehensive training and experience in various Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals and the Military Family Center at NYU Langone have equipped me with the skills to provide cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and prolonged exposure (PE) for PTSD. These are types of therapy that help people process traumatic events and reduce their emotional response to them. I am also skilled in exposure-focused treatments for anxiety, which involve gradually exposing people to the situations they fear in a safe and controlled way. My qualifications and years of experience have honed my expertise, enabling me to offer the highest standard of care to my patients.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to proactive engagement in healthcare, working closely with my patients to develop personalized therapy plans that align with their goals. I recognize that therapy often requires individuals to face uncomfortable feelings, and I am dedicated to guiding them through this process in a safe, supportive, and empowering way.

My journey into psychology was inspired by my desire to help others overcome their fears and barriers. The ability to provide a calming, supportive space for individuals to explore their emotions and work towards meaningful change is what drew me to this field. As a part of the NYU Langone team, I work collaboratively to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for my patients, helping them to live the lives they’ve always aspired to.
