About Me
I have always been passionate about helping others, and my interest in health and nutrition blossomed during my college years. Teaching has also been a lifelong joy for me, so combining my love for education and my dedication to health and wellness felt like the perfect way to improve lives. As a registered dietitian and board-certified health coach, I specialize in areas such as obesity, weight management, emotional eating, behavior change, type 2 diabetes, heart-healthy nutrition, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, pre-diabetes, and GLP-1 nutrition.
When working with patients, my goal is to provide a warm and non-judgmental environment where we can collaborate on solutions tailored to their individual needs. I focus on building trust and rapport by listening carefully, practicing empathy, and showing support—even when challenges arise. I believe in using motivational interviewing to help patients uncover their personal reasons for change, and I meet each person where they are, ensuring they feel empowered rather than pressured to make progress.
No two patients are alike, which is why individualized care is central to my approach. During our initial assessment, I take the time to understand each patient’s unique needs and develop a plan that we can implement together. We set specific, actionable goals designed to build skills and habits that support long-term health and wellness. Between sessions, patients have the chance to practice these skills so they can feel more confident in sustaining positive changes over time.
My educational background includes undergraduate and master’s degrees in nutrition science from Long Island University. I’ve been a registered dietitian since 2010, and my continued professional development has equipped me with additional tools to support patients. I hold a certificate of training in adult weight management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, a precision nutrition level 2 master health coach certification, and national board certification in health and wellness coaching (NBC-HWC). These credentials reflect my commitment to blending evidence-based nutrition expertise with advanced coaching techniques to guide patients toward meaningful lifestyle improvements.
Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for my dedication to the field of nutrition. While at Long Island University, I was honored with the outstanding undergraduate nutrition student award in 2009 and the outstanding graduate nutrition student award in 2012. These accolades reflect my ongoing commitment to excellence in patient care and advocacy for healthier living.
I feel truly privileged to support patients in achieving their health goals, and I look forward to partnering with them to create lasting change that enhances their quality of life and overall well-being.
