I chose to become a doctor because I wanted to help people and cure them of disease. My specialty is in wound care. I first trained in emergency medicine and then in hyperbaric medicine, during which I began to care for and treat patients with chronic nonhealing wounds.

My focus is on healing patients who have chronic nonhealing wounds. These wounds are often due to diabetes, vascular disease, and pressure ulcers.

At NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, I specialize in hyperbaric oxygen therapy, wound debridement, advanced skin substitutes, and stem cell therapy. We are one of the only medical teams in the country that serves patients who have wound-healing needs and no other conditions. This optimizes my focus on those who need our wound expertise, and gives patients the highest quality treatment plans and outcomes. We treat patients as if they are family members.

I am involved in developing several clinical trials to develop new technologies to heal the most complex wounds.
